(More customer reviews)Our SJ30 was still on it's original battery, the original charger connector was falling apart, and we started having problems charging it (orange light lit, but charging indicator on screen not showing as being powered, had to hold it in and jiggle it and press very hard, and usually it would eventually charge up). Eventually the battery itself seemed to no longer be able to hold a charge (no wonder, after over 8 years!) so we bought a replacement battery, but the original charging issues continued.
Bought this cable with the tip for the SJ30 and it worked perfectly. Snug and secure fit, but not too tight, charge light on solid, charge indicator on solid, it recharged with no problem to 100% and behaved perfectly.
Haven't tried it as a sync cable yet, but have no doubt it will work fine. 100% recommended if you're having similar charger connector issues.
Note: you do need a USB power source, either a computer USB port or a stand-alone USB charger, but those are easy to get.
